The Process

Well, here goes my first post. Let's all wish me luck as I am writing this at 1 a.m. and listening to Etta James Pandora Radio (yes I was born in the wrong era, I know.) As you all probably know,  I recently changed my hair to blonde. You would think as I originally thought that you walk into the salon and the black in your hair can magically disappear and can go back to your natural blonde. However though, that is not how it works AT ALL. Let me tell you. I felt like my second home was at the salon, I basically lived there for 3 weeks. Each time going in a few times a week to sit in the chair for sometimes 6-7 hours at a time while process over process went over my hair. As you can see in the pictures attached. Sometimes we choose to not show these parts of our life. I mean aren't we as females and especially as a "model" suppose to have everything put to together!? Little do you know me along with every other female out there still have a long way to go to be perfect. Ok, one sec, song just changed to hit the road jack, I cannot jam to this and write.)

Ok, I'm back.... Anyways, I feel the problem with society today is that it doesn't let us really embrace ourselves. Yes, we can do the new make up tricks, and new hair trends, and post the new outfit we put together. BUT, what about all the mistakes that we made trying to put that contour on and how we may or may not look like a tricolored clown after trying new liners and crazy shadows. What about that outfit that looks so effortless on Instagram, but in all reality your room back home is completely and I mean COMPLETELY covered with your whole closet. What about these moments? This is what makes us learn and live wiser. You are you when you aren't afraid to show all these details, when you aren't scared of being yourself!! If you are scared people won't accept you for who you are, let me tell you something. If they will not accept you for your pros and cons then they are not your friend and YOU deserve better than them!

Anyways, so throughout all these processes of hair I am extrememly lucky all my hair didn't break off and I turned out looking like Brittney Spears. We need to thank my amazing hair guy, Tom is his name fyi, for watching my hair more carefully than watching a baby. Oh, and if you didn't know under black hair there is always red just in case you aren't a hair professional like moi. Though the process I went from black to some weird shade of red/brown, then along the way we had what we liked to call the "sunset" hair phase, and then I had pink hair yes pink, and then finally to blonde. When you change your hair you don't just change the color attached. Hair changes you as a person. It changes how you look at yourself, which kind of clothes you wear, how you feel about yourself as a whole. It is like you're a new person. My babe joked that throughout my several hair changes he basically had a new girlfriend every few days. Personally, with blonde hair I feel like a bombshell compared to the black. I did a poll on my instagram the other day about who liked what color hair. Blonde won over black, but whichever way people think is better, I will always do me. Just like this blog, I hope you read it. But even if you don't, even if you don't really give a f**k. I'm not writing it for you. I'm writing it for myself, for my own piece of mind, and maybe work on my writing skills a little too for school. ;)

I must say it feels good to be back to blonde. The overall point of this entry is for whoever reading this, you, yes you, don't be afraid to show the ups and downs of life. Don't be too scared of trying to show a perfect life to be accepted. I promise you that as much as it looks like Kylie Jenner and whoever else you may follow or worship on Instagram who looks perfect, they are not perfect. If you aren't happy with where you are at today, reach for being who you want to be tomorrow. You are special and you are beautiful, let that show through!

xx
